Alex graduated from medical school at Flinders University in 2014. He completed specialist anaesthetic training through a range of health services including the Austin Hospital, Northern Hospital, Western Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He undertook further fellowship training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Mercy Hospital for Women.

Alex works in both public and private practice. He works across a wide range of surgical specialties, but has particular interests in providing anaesthesia for obstetrics and gynaecology, and anaesthesia for eye procedures. He holds public appointments at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, and Mercy Hospital for Women, and works as a consultant anaesthetist across a number of private hospitals in Melbourne.

Alex is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists, and a member of the Obstetric Special Interest Group of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. He is an active participant in the continuing professional development program of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Alex understands that having an operation can be stressful, and is happy to discuss your concerns prior to surgery. His priority is to keep you safe and comfortable around the time of your procedure.
